What we have been up to

We haven't posted much about what we have been up to lately. So here is a quick catch me up if anybody is wondering.
I started work again over at Yellowstone Bear World in the gift shop.
Jase started school again taking many business and finance classes. He gets one Advanced Reproduction class. He has one class at a Dairy farm. Yay for me, I again get to scrub his clothes and get that Dairy stench out of them again.
Kendyl is growing like a weed. In just a few weeks she will be 6 months old. We started her on rice cereal and she still doesn't know what to think. She hates being fed with a spoon. She wont nap when we so badly want her to. She is however so good at staying quiet in bed in the mornings patiently waiting for us to wake up and feed her. She has also learned to squeel so loud. She loves her "Johnny Jumper' and literally cries until we put her in it. She still hates tummy time with a passion. She loves to put her fingers in our mouth and make us blow on them. And she loves a "yelly on the belly" as Jase would call it. (we just yell onto her belly and she just laughs so much).
Rexburg is still so bitter cold. In fact it is snowing as we speak. There is still nothing fun to do because it is SO cold and the wind is just SO bad and chilling. I really can't wait to leave this place. Rexburg is just not my favorite city.
Well thats all for now, 3 more months of this.... countdown is on!

My Birthday and Easter!

Friday April 22nd was my birthday! I turned 22! It really was a great birthday, minus the fact that I had to work all day. I'm over it, my boss made me cupcakes! For my birthday I got a new blow dryer that I love! I "officially" got my new camera. I got some money, new shoes, a canvas print of monkey, and an I O U (which i still have no idea what it is). We went to dinner at Chilis. Loved the salsa and queso but I broke my rule to always order what I know I love and got a big thumbs down on my meal. Then Jase took me over to Kohls to go shopping and to the mall and I got some WAY cute clothes! Plus thanks to Facebook reminding everybody I got a million Happy Birthdays and tons of phone calls! So Thank you to everyone who made my birthday SO special!

For Easter again, I had to work. I woke up early and hid the eggs and Kendyls basket. Then Jase and Kendyl got up and went on a hunt. I sat back and made some blueberry muffins, then headed to work. I got off in time to catch about 10 minutes of church. Then we went over to Kody and Cami's for dinner! My rolls were a fail. I thought I cooked them thoroughly but guess not cause when they cooled they were about as tall as a cookie! Oh well, we had fun and the rest of the food was delicious!

We didn't take many pictures so here is what you get! We hope you all had a great Easter! Love you all!

She's Gone Country!

K so this is a Long Post coming. I can't believe I haven't already shared all this. This is all about Florida and the Ranch down there!
A week after Jase and I got married we packed up everything we could into the back of his truck and drove across the country to Florida. Along the way we stopped in Chicago for a few days. Anyway, as we pulled out of the driveway and said farewell to our family and Zack and Jessica I bawled my eyes out. I had never lived away from home. I was so scared of leaving my family, my friends, my hometown, shopping and everything I had known, to go live on the RANCH. I was so excited for the beaches but that was it. I had never stepped foot on a Farm and I was as city girl as it gets.
The first sacrament meeting there a girl got up and bore her testimony and all i can remember is her saying in the most hick voice I had ever heard was "Im so thankful for this ranch" No joke I honestly laughed outloud. I thought this had to be some sort of joke. We were in the middle of nowhere, there was nothing to do. Not very many people lived on the ranch.
As time went on I got a job in the Orange Groves and met all the little girls that changed my life forever. I was known as the cute interns wife. (needless to say, i agreed!) I was now living the "ranch life" and working in the Orange groves. In these groves were not pleasant. HUGE snakes, HUGE spiders, tons of Gators, Hogs, Fire ants, Bugs and sweltering hot in long pants. Seriously I couldn't have done it without those little highschool and jr. high girls though.
Jase and I went to the beach all the time. We made lifelong friends who we consider family. We loved the temple there.
Our house was TINY! It was made out of cinderblock. Here is a quick story. On thanksgiving we were over at The Jacobsens and when we got home the Air conditioner wasn't on anymore. We looked at where it was plugged in at and there was black smoke stains on the wall. it had lit on fire and didn't even set the whole house on fire.
We went to the prettiest beach with the softest sand, Clearwater Beach. Seriously the sand felt like we were walking on powder.
While in Florida I honestly grew up so much. I learned to cook. Jase learned to never do laundry. I learned how to kill a wolf spider and think it was cool when it died. My testimony grew like wildfire. I learned how to work hard and what it was like to really work hard for my earnings. I learned true friendship, and true love. I missed my family and friends like crazy. I went from being a selfish teenager to really growing up. The spirit on the ranch is seriously unreal. I cannot describe it.
Life on Deseret Ranch is something I wish I could bottle up and send to everybody I know. I wish i could invite everybody down there and let them experience it themselves. When I left Utah I was crying because I didn't want to go, When I left, I was crying because I didn't want to come back to Utah. I gave a talk before I left and found myself saying: "Im so thankful for this ranch:

Below are just a few pics I took while I was there so you can get the sense of what we did!

Conference Weekend

Well, as you can see, I have chopped my hair! The big pony was donated to locks of love, and the little one I gave to my mom. I think she is still crying over my loss of hair!
TADA!! And this is after running through the rain and the wind and messing around all afternoon!

So we went to Utah this past weekend. Jase has finals all this week and he wanted to do something fun! He took off and went Antler hunting and I opted to stay home! :) I got up first thing, and took ms Kendyl to my grandma and grandpa Shields! They love her! It is so fun to see them with her!

I then attempted to make cake balls. These are the easiest things ever and I totally messed them up! Next time! I watched conference then headed to get my hair did! After that Jase was finally home, We got takeout of chilis, then I headed to the BIG surprise party for my best friend Jessica MELBA. She was SO surprised! Mandie did a heck of a job planning it! I love these 2 girls!

Sunday came, we watched conference, napped, lounged around then drove home to Idaho! I will be back Utah, give me til Friday!

Family photos

Today we tried to take advantage of the nice weather. We headed up to the train tracks and took some family photos. (Since our last ones was when I was still swollen post labor). Please don't pay attention to my PHAT cough fat rolls. I am still working on them!

I am still learning so don't judge too much. But for a 15 minute photo shoot on the tracks, and a baby that had never really been outside before, I would say we did pretty well!
