Get in Shape...

{I am no weight loss expert, these are just healthy swaps and Ideas I have enjoyed while getting into shape} oh and obviously this isn't me in the picture...i found it on google.
  • Start with taking a picture of yourself in a swim suit against a plain wall. {I thought I was doing ok for myself last fall, Thought I looked ok since I fit in my pre prego clothes. After I took that picture I honestly cried, and that was the BIGGEST motivation for me to start doing something! }
  • Get moving! I dont care if you love tv, a good workout is get up and workout during the commercials. I do jumping jacks, lunges, squats, abs, wall sits, anything to get moving. Seriously its harder than it sounds and ends up getting you a decent workout!
  • Go on walks, go walk the mall, play catch, join a fitness class, sign up for a race and train for it, jump on the tramp, or be a kid for a day. {we were at the park yesterday and i tried to chase bug around and thought, no wonder why I was in shape back in the day, this is hard work!}
  • Make healthy meal swaps. Add more vegetables then main course. If you cant get away from peanut butter-spread it on celery rather than toast. Have egg whites for whole eggs, and eggs for cereal. Try not to eat out, if you do, limit to special occasions. Treat yourself once a week. Lets be serious, nobody can take away my frozen yogurt!
  • Portion Control, Portion Control, Portion Control. put your food on a plate and sit down at a kitchen table to eat, then be done. Dont just grab a handful here and there. My flaw-Chips and salsa. Before I knew It, I could eat a whole bowl of salsa with say 20+chips? Chips are horrible! get your chips before you sit down, count out how many you want and when they are gone, they are gone, dont get more. Its ok to share your bowl of salsa :/
  • When you reward yourself for doing something good, dont reward yourself with food. Go get a cute new shirt, or a pedicure, or take a nice hot bath.
  • Remember, you have to walk the legnth of a football field to burn off 1 m&m, sounds not to bad, but wait til you eat a bag of them, you will have to walk a couple miles to burn those off.

Still Waiting and Buggy update

We are still waiting on if we go or stay and where we go. We have to be out of our apartment in 3 weeks, So right now Im praying to be able to go since we won't have a place to live here! On the upside, the longer the wait, the better chance we are seeing that we are out of Idaho. I am thrilled, but on the downside I am so sad to leave our best friends and have to wait for them in Florida!
Here is our sweet buggy. Poor girl might not ever know her real name. She is going to drow up telling her people her name is Monkey, buggy, princess and twiddle plum. She is still the sweetest odd nicknamed girl I know!
She absolutely LOVES the Price is Right. She loves to get "tickets" and we say "The Winner is....Kendyl Taylor!!" she then throws her arms in the air and yells "YAAAYYYY"
She is in a sticker phase and in a matter of 5 minutes she can have her covered in stickers, along with us, the couch and anything in sight. She loves jewelry. She knows what an elephant, doggie, cow, monkey, pig and turkey say. Her favorite thing to say is No. We will ask her if she had a good nap and she will look at you in deep thought and say, no. If we are watching tv and mickey mouse will ask for her help she shakes her head and says, no. She loves to drag out all her blankets and put them on a pile in the middle of the floor. She also LOVES to help put laundry in the washer and then when they are folded she helps take them to where they belong. She loves to sit on the dishwasher while Im trying to load it. As many times as I take her off, within seconds she is back on.
We love her and cant believe how big and smart she is getting.

Thin Mint muddy Buddies

No joke, I made this recipe up myself! I was experimenting with the new fave cake batter muddy buddies and thought about how I needed to track down a wal mart to get my fair share of girl scout cookies this season. I looked up this recipe to see if anybody else had tried to make them and all the recipes I had found used actual Thin Mints.... So in reality these muddy buddies were an every March thing.

Here is my year round new favorite recipe!

6 cups rice chex

1/2 bag andes mints crushed

1/2 bag milk chocolate chips

1 cup chocolate cake mix

1/2 cup powdered sugar

Melt the chocolate and pour over the chex. mix carefully then add the cake mix and powdered sugar then mix all together.

you get the crunch from the chex, the minty and chocolate that taste exactly like a thin mint cookie..... and its so so so good!

Exciting things happening!

Jase went in to his graduation appointment to go over which classes he needed to take his last semester (starting in April) to be able to graduate. He was then informed if things transfer here from Weber and the school will accept his higher level classes in place of his lower level classes, he doesn't even need to come back to school next semester! AHHHHHHH Seriously here I was planning out my summer, and next thing I know we could be out of rexburg in about 4 weeks! The only thing is, we don't know if Florida is ready for us or has housing etc until July. So we don't know if we will be living in SLC, Florida, or any ranch inbetween here and Florida until July. No plans are currently being made until we hear from the school. The only this is we have to wait on Weber State and they are always dropping the ball on sending classes over. I don't know if next time I go to Sams Club if I buy a HUGE bag of chicken or a small bag of chicken. I don't know if I finish unpacking or start packing.
So stay tuned to travel our journey and find out where we will be headed, if we will be headed. I feel like this is what it would feel like for a boy to be waiting for his mission call.
All in all....Congrats to Jase for working his butt off!
