Lately in Texas

Before we close out this busy busy year in Texas, I thought I would do a quick update on these two cute kiddos.
Easton is my crazy, magnent handed, fireball in a tiny body little boy.  He isn't only walking, he is running and climbing and destroying everything.  Every nce in a while, he will find our book shelf and sit down and look at a book.  Other times he crawls up in my lap.  He gives the best hugs and kisses and knows exactly what "spit it out" means.  He hates cheese, which is great since we switched him back to being Dairy free!  He can eat an entire avacado or two in one sitting.  He LOVES chips and salsa!
He failed his hearing test at his year appointment.  I don't know anything else other than that.  You see, this place is crawling with Indians (dot, not feather) and his doctor is one.  I have quickly learned I am awful and understanding thick accents.  He is the only one in the family that did not get the flu.
He loves to be outside, and goes straight to the road.  He thinks it is funny to watch me run after him screaming no.
For a little qhile he constantly had a goose egg on his forehead.  We finally put the coffeee table out in the garage.  He still wont sleep through the night.  He loves mickey mouse, and will ONLY watch tv for about 10 minutes, MAX.
we sure love this little fireball, and I cannot imagine life without him.
                                                               notice the forehead, ugh!!

Which now leads me to Kendyl.  Her and Easton are the best of friends, and the are constantly making each other laugh!
Kendyl is still little Kendyl.  She now has an attitude and I honestly dont know where she is getting it.  She sometimes talks like a teenager, it is almost scary.  She stilll loves her princesses, but we are now allowed to call her by her given name.  She is pretty dang smart too.  We were at the mall the other day and a store was handing out reindeer antlers and the lady asked what her name was to write it on her hat.  She then said Kendyl...K-E-N-D-Y-L.  Granted, she has been able to write her name for a while, but it was still fun to watch her use her smarts.
She has the memory of an elephant.  She will say, mom do you remember 2 years ago when we bought animal cracker and went to the park?  uhhh. no i dont but, YES I do remember.
She is having so much fun at school.  And now that I am her new teacher, she has become a great little helper.  She constantly dresses herself, but makes sure she doesnt go without a skirt or a dress.  if it is too cold out, she puts on her pants then a big giant tutu.  She has the final say on how her hair will be that day.
Her leg is still bothering her, and quite honestly I am at a loss of what to do for it.  I 100% do not trust the doctors here.  She has had knee pain quite a bit in the same spot,.  More so after she plays hard.  For the first 6 or 7 months I told myself it was just growing pains.  Then I started to notice a pattern and that it was ALWAYS in the same place.  Before we left Florida, they xrayed it and said there was apparent inflamation of the soft tissue, but they didn't know why since she has not had an injury. they wanted me to bring her back if it was swollen or red on the next episode.  Well, its happened a lot, but it is always late at night when nobody is open, and well, we dont live in Florida anymore.  I am having her get her 4 year old check up in Utah over the Holidays, so I guess we will go from there.  We sure miss our pediatrician in Florida.

Anyway.  Jase is super busy at school.  I think he can sure use a break.  He literally did not come home last night until 11:00 at night.  Thankfully he came home for lunch and ate 3 PB and J sandwhiches.  He is now an advisor in young mens, so that is an extra load on him.  He is counting down until Easton can go into nursery.
I am still working at the Pre k3 school with infants and toddlers.  I am having a lot of fun with them, even though I have to do long deep breaths.  No im just kidding, the kids are so fun and so sweet.  I am starting to pick up a bit for photography, which is so fun and so great.

Happy Birthday my little Buggy

I cannot believe this little girl is 4 years old!  It seems like yesterday I had no idea what I was doing.  She has been the most fun I've ever had.  She talks your ear off and wants to know EVERYTHING.  She is a Disney princess whiz.  She is sassy as a teenage girl.  She loves to color, draw, do crafts and create.  She is a little fireball of excitement.  She is the confetti in my life.  She is so caring and loves to help with everything.  I love this sweet little girl.  I want to just squeeze her and hold her tight so she doesn't grow up anymore!  Love you my sweet little buggy!  Thanks for being the Best little sweetheart EVER!!

This Bea-UTAH-ful B family

I love where I grew up.  I love my friends, I love their families, their kids, their lives....you name it, I LOVE MY FRIENDS!  I always tell Jase how lucky I am to have the amazing friends I do.  And this sweet mom is just that....one of my very best friends.  She has the most gorgeous children!  She is rocking the mom status too!  She impresses me with everything she does, from gardening, to cooking/baking, her hair, her hilarious personality and just how kind, sweet and caring she is!

A night with the Horses

If anybody loves horses, its Jases sister, and she is passing on this love to her two cute kids.  This was Shawneys horse when she was little, so it was only appropriate that we found that horse for her kids to love on.  Despite my allergies flaring up like crazy and the mosquitos, I would dare say we had a perfect night shooting.  Thanks Shawney, I LOVED this shoot and how it turned out!

Every once in a while....

I get the over whelming feeling of how blessed I am to have two great kids.   I sometimes get a great feeling of the luckiest mom that Kendyl was my little girl who made me a mom.  I must have done something right to get such a sweet, tender hearted, hilarious little girl.  She genuinely cares about anybody and everybody.  She is quick to find me a blanket if she thinks I may be cold.  She insists that I eat with her in our living room picnics.  She is always giving hugs and kisses.  She makes sure to tell Cinderellas mice not to eat me at night.
The morning after the race, she had woke up pretty early.  She came in to snuggle, she watched the school kids get on the bus yelling for them to have fun at school. She was dancing, singing "let it go" from the top of her lungs and being a great little girl to let me rest a bit longer.  When I woke up from my in and out of consiousness there was something next to my face.  She had drawn the best picture of Olaf, with arms 3 x his size.  Next to Olaf she had set a nice pointy carrot.
The imagination of this little girl is incredible.  She can transform from little mermaid, to cinderella, to Elsa in a matter of minutes and NAIL their characters.
The other night she was eating grapes and making us eat ours as well.  Jase was on his third or fourth grape when Kendyl said, "Dad, dont eat too many, these will make you poop."
She tucks her baby doll into Eastons cradle.  She feeds her baby a bottle, changes her bum, swaddles her, puts her to bed with a little toy then literally tiptoes out of the room and whispers the rest of the night.
I think the thing I love to watch most is how she loves her brother.  In the car she holds his hand.  She is first to want to feed him a bottle.  She checks on him while he is napping. She reads him books.  She is careful of who is "allowed" to hold him, or even comment about him.  I know she cannot wait for him to grow up and play.

So sweet Kendyl, never forget how much We love you. Stay a little girl forever!
ps, arent these pictures amazing by Renee Jacobsen Photography?  We love her and she did such an amazing job!

One month update

I cannot believe how incredibly lucky I am to have the family and friends that I have.  We were granted a good week with my mom in town taking care of us, then Jases parents.  Kendyl misses having pals to play with and have sleepovers in her room.  My neighbors here are amazing and are always quick to make sure im still sane in the blue house.
Easton (Figaro as Kendyl is adament his name is) has colic or something like that.  He may have a milk allergy, but it has not been "diagnosed" but for the mean time im off dairy.  Oh how I miss my morning cereal!  All we know is he likes to cry.  Other than the crying, we love the little guy and we think he is so cute and a perfect fit into our family!  Kendyl loves the heck out of him and loves to give him hugs and kisses.  She also loves to wake him up, because I guess having a quiet house is not up her alley.  Me on the other hand, I feel like I get a fresh breath when its quiet....unless its too quiet, then I know miss bug is into something she isn't supposed to be.
I hate to admit but Kendyl has been watching a little more tv than I would like her to.  Heck, I am too.  Something to help drain the crying noise, and the nonstop feedings!  Im lucky to get a shower.  I struggle during quiet time if i should shower, clean, rest, do dishes, wash clothes, etc.  Im lucky to get one chore done a day, whether its a load or two of laundry to getting us breakfast lunch and dinner at a decent time.  Seriously, how people have twins or more than 2 kids or kids super super close in age, I have no idea.  Maybe Im missing to secret.  If you have it, pass it this way.
Easton is a little piggy and weighs in at 10 lbs 3 oz at his 1 month check. I have no idea what percentile that is because my doc said as long as its going up thats all i really care about.  I do know its somewhere around 50%tile.  I love her pediatrician.
We were also able to get our pictures taken by the INCREDIBLE Renee Jacobsen Photography.  She did such an amazing job.  Money well spent!  Seriously Florida friends, get on her!
Oh and....its time to say goodbye to our blue smurf house.  Im a little sad to say goodbye.  Im a lot happy toget more space.  Kendyl HATES the idea of leaving the blue house and wants nothing to do with it.  As bad as this house sticks out as a sore thumb, I secretly hope they never paint it back to a color that isn't so....out there.
Jase and I are doing great.  He is busy working and hunting.  Im busy being a mom.  I just signed up for the Disney Princess Half Marathon at Disney World.  I am beyond excited.  I chose my princess to be Ariel.  Now if I can only find the time to train!  :)
Below are just 4 of our pictures....

Easton Archer

Easton Archer
September 8 2013

These past 9 months have flown by if i look back on it.  During, not so much.  Throwing up daily, heartburn, aches, tiredness, the whole 9 yards. Pregnancy is NOT for me. I am so glad it is over! It makes it all worth it though right?!
So Thursday September 5th I had my 39 week appointment. I was just ready to be done. Lets be honest, Kendyl was born already.  I had the Dr strip my membranes and I understand it either works or it doesnt within 24 hours.  I didn't even have as much as a single cramp after. I thought I would be pregnant forever! I was telling people I was going to give birth to a toddler. UGH!
Friday went by, Saturday went by, went to bed all ready for church the next day.  I was woken up at 4:30 am from a  mild contraction.  The next one came 10 minutes later....this went on about 4 or 5 times then I decided I had to pee. Then I couldn't sleep, so I was getting Kendyls church clothes all laid out when BAM a contraction hit me like a ton of brick. 2 minutes later...there was another one. Again and again i let this go on for about 10 minutes. I woke Jase up and told him I was going to take a bath to calm these down but that I thought it was time. I didn't evenget to dip my toes in the water before Jase said get ready were going from me screaming cause I hurt so bad.
We threw what we could in the car, and drove Kendyl to the sweetest neighbors house ever, Tarah's! (I owe her beyond belief). We left our neighborhood at 6:33 and Jase was literally driving 100 mph. We called the hospital and said get the dr there now! The hospital is about 30 minutes away, without traffic and the awful long stoplights. How we didnt get stopped at a single light ill never know!
We got to the hospital and I was screaming to get me an epidural. The nurse checked me and said sorry, your a 9, no epidural for you! I broke down and started crying and telling them that I didn't even read about a non epidural birth and that I didn't know how.  It didn't convince them.
The nurse grabbed one of the doctors that was there to stand in the room until my Dr got there. All the while, nurses were drying the barely mopped floor, throwing things together and trying to get me not to push. (There is NO stopping the urge to push!).
My fabulous Dr came in and immediatly got to work.  Jase was busy fanning me because I was sweating like a crazy lady. All of a sudden at 7:30 on the dot our baby Easton was born!  ALL NATURAL BABY!! woo!  And to top it off, all that crazy pain was gone!  He was healthy as an ox.  He weighed in at 8 lbs 3oz and 20 inches long.  I actually got to hold him unlike Kendyl!
He ended up having Jaundice so he had to go under the lights just like his big sister.  I handled it a lot better this time around.  We were released and all got to come home together!

This is the amazing Dr. Tobia!  I am so glad he was my dr that delivered the little man.
Kendyl was so excited to meet him.  She said ohhh he is so cute!  Then immediatly asked if I could play barbies now! (I guess I was a lousy barbie player the past couple weeks). She also picked him out a birthday cake, we sang happy birthday and ate ourselves happy!
This is right after giving birth! Dont mind my nasty sweaty bed head hair!  :)
 Here he is!
Kendyl is such a proud and happy big sister.  She said he doesn't have to sleep on the porch anymore!  She also is convinced his name is Easton Figaro!?

We are all adjusting to life with 4 at home.  Between the no sleep, constant feedings, bug still grasping potty training, deer hunt opener and shipping season, were learning!  Were So happy our MIMI could be here to help us out! thanks mom!

22 weeks

22 weeks
is not flying by

On my birthday we got to go into the Dr and find out what we were having.  Jases guess was he didn't know.  Kendyl was adamant I had a boy in my belly and she had a girl in hers.  I didn't know, but deep down I KNEW for sure it was a girl.
KENDYL WINS!!
To say I wasnt in shock was an understatement because I so was in shock.
At 22 weeks I have gained 6 pounds.  So much less then I was at with Kendyl, but Im so much bigger already.
Im still on my anti nausea medicine everyday.  i am feeling better though if I stay on top of it.   I crave blue raspberry dum dum suckers and lemon heads.  Not to mention hamburgers and french fries.  Im not digging the cookies, cake and ice cream so thats a plus right?
Jase is so excited for the camo and sports and guns with his little guy.  Can I put it out there that I hate camo? I am so excited for a little baseball player though.  Kendyl loves little babies and is always helping other kids out.  She is also very good at taking care of her toys, making sure they are warm and fed.  She is going to be an amazing big sister and I am so excited for her to get to have a chance at this!
Now to get through this already hot summer.  Bring on the swollen feet, sweaty pits, afternoon naps and 2nd breakfasts!  ugh, I hate being pregnant!

A little November

We are LOVING living in Florida.  Not to brag, but it was 82 degrees the other day!  November was such a fun month and FLEW by!  Kendyl turned the big 2! I cannot believe she is 2 already.  She is so full of sass and spazz and is so smart.  She loves all her new friends down on the ranch.  She loves to sing songs, dance, count, make funny faces, eat only hot dogs, play in her new kitchen, anything Minnie Mouse, and make us laugh all day long.
We also had Jases parents come to visit for a few days, and had my BF Jessica come and visit as well.  I got food poisoning, and a cold twice, and had the Relief Society Christmas Dinner.  Thanks to my amazing counselors, I hardly did a thing and they did such an amazing job!
Here are a few pics of the month...

Kendyl LOVES her new swing she got for her birthday!  We cannnot keep her off of it!
While Jases parents were here we went on an Airboat ride!  Not gonna lie, I was super sick, but Jase said I can either be sick in bed or sick looking at nature, so here I am, pain and all!
We went to Cocoa Beach and got to pick up some seashells.  Kendyl LOVES seashells!
For Christmas my mom got us Sea World season passes!  Best gift ever!  We even got them early so we could go while Jases parents were here.....Im going to LOVE this year!
Here we are in front of the fun sign!...
We even got to feed the dolphins!  Ah seriously, I want one as a pet!  I will hands down build a tank myself
ok this picture i can't help but share.  Please don't mind my nasty face ,but lets be honest, that Giraffe is totally Hamming it up for the camera.  BEST picture I took all day at the zoo, which we also got season passes to!
These are just a few pics of kendyls birthday.  I had to get a few glam shots in her new outfits right!?
Here are some faces she pulls while I try and take her picture!  She is hilarious and we love her!
She got a fun little Minnie Mouse play set thing for her Birthday from gma and gpa Taylor...
My mom got her a kitchen!  She loves it to the max!  She is always cooking up something yummy!
We made her a cake and she LOVED the sprinkles!  Who knew?
But she also loved the cake as wel!

I have alot of catching up to do and I will get around to it I promise!  Just know we are loving living here! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving :)
